DSC08471Homemade Brown Sugar

Homemade brown sugar will not be on my list of Emergency Ingredients — it will be a staple in my pantry now. No more expensive, tasteless brown sugar for me!

Brown Sugar = 1 cup white sugar + 2 Tablespoons Molasses. Stir together with a fork until completely combined.

This amount will give you 1 cup packed brown sugar.

Look at the comparison of light brown sugar versus the homemade brown sugar. No comparison!

With the sugar and molasses I used, the cost is equal to 65 cents per pound. That’s crazy! Why buy tasteless light brown sugar, I’m not even talking dark brown sugar, for twice that?!?!

Here's the full recipe and printable!
