Here is another old barn along Johnson Creek Road, Walton, WV. It sits across the road from The Slanted Little House (the old farmhouse in Suzanne’s family).

One of my requests to my sidekick photographer was to shoot some old barns. I love old barns. She did good – lots of old barns for me to look at play with in Photoshop.

The trip went great, but with construction backups and Nancy (you know, the GPS) taking us to a different exit than what we needed just before entering the backwoods of Roane County, WV, we were a bit late for Beaulah Petunia’s normal milking time. We made our trip to West Virginia yesterday. It was such a gorgeous day for making our 12 hour trip! Over the river ford and to Stringtown Rising Farm. After the long day traveling, what a wonderful way to end the day More pictures coming soon…as soon as I get done milking the cow!
