Footprints at Silver Lake

Posted by Cindy

I have more family visiting this week from out of town–another niece, great-niece and great-nephew.

The kids, of course, wanted to put footprints in the sand.

Off to Little Point Sable in Silver Lake we headed. They took the lighthouse tour–way up top they could see forever and Aunt Cindy stayed on the beach to take their picture. There are a lot of steps to the top!

Calla and Cole are full of unleashed energy. They absolutely had to have run 15 miles along the beach and up the hills.

They did manage to sit still for just a very short few minutes.

I’m loving having them with me for the week!

Silver Lake! Do they still have the big dune buggies? I remember going on one as a child and they stopped at the top of a very high dune and asked if anyone wanted out. I said I did. Everyone laughed, but I was serious!
I miss some parts of Michigan… the snow – nope.

Yes they do! Mac Woods Dune Rides! We went on them this year on Father’s Day…was fun! I really wouldn’t miss the snow much if I was to leave Michigan…can always come back and visit :)

Yes! I always try to visit in the summer.. Need to go back next year – it’s been tooooo long. Last visit, there was a thunderstorm. Now, that was something I hadn’t heard a while living in California…
