Another Crochet Day! — with Jute Twine

I’ve been crocheting and crocheting and more crocheting!  And what fabulous material today???
Jute Twine!
Rustic, warm……it’s basically a piece of burlap torn apart…..beautiful!
I crocheted up a simple coaster….jute is absorbent.
Jute Twine Coaster

Materials:
3-ply jute twine (Dollar Store)
Size F crochet hook

Instructions:
ch 4, sl st to form a ring
Round 1:  ch 1, 8sc in ring, join with sl st to first sc
Round 2:  ch 1, 2sc in each sc, join with sl st to first sc
Round 3:  ch 3, dc in that sc, 2dc in ea sc all the way around, sl st to the beginning stitch ch 3
Round 4:  ch 5, sk 1 dc, dc in the next dc, ch2.  Repeat from the sk 1 all the way around.  Sl st to the beginning stitch ch 5 (in the 3rd ch)
Round 5:  ch 3, 3 dc in the ch 2s, dc in next dc, 3 dc in next ch 2.  Repeat from the dc all the way around.  Sl st to the beginning stitch ch 3.
Finish off and weave in your ends.

Finished size:  5″
